Scenario Editor Overview

Create, configure, build, test, and preview scenarios in a simple point and click interface that is easy to navigate.

Our scenario editor is mobile-friendly.

A scenario a collection of interconnected nodes, where each node represents a decision, contextual information, feedback, consequence start, or endpoint.


The Scenario Editor pulls together all the tools you need to build a scenario


Scenario Editor Functions

Help: Look for the icon in the editor to find in context help or hover over the button for more information.

Preview: Opens the scenario in the Player in a new browser tab.

Publish: Creates a snapshot and generates a link for sharing.

NEW! Start Presentation: Starts a live group play so others can join in!

Collaborate: Invite team member to edit and control their access:

  • Anyone can view the maze
  • Anyone can edit the maze - Default
  • Only specific people you invite can edit or view

General Controls:

  • switch views: List View | Canvas View: Switch between editors views
  • Full Screen: Makes the screen full sized. Tip: Use this in Canvas mode.
  • Close: Closes the browser tab.
  • EXPAND MORE: Expand each of the nodes.

Controls:

  • Edit: Opens the node editor.
  • Preview: Opens the Node in the Player on a new browser tab.
  • Copy or Duplicate: Creates a copy of the node.
  • Delete: Deletes the node.
  • Global bonus or penalty defined in the scenario settings. If the globe is not there then setting was configured on the choice.

Link the node together to build a scenario.

Node editor

Edit the node properties, and it should adapt properties of the node in question. After the first node is populated, the author will need to create another node and connect the nodes together.

Toggle between the editor and the preview as you work

Node View Toggle

Edit: Edit the node settings and text.

Desktop preview: Preview what the Node looks like in the player on large screen.

Tablet preview: Preview what the Node looks like in the player on medium screen.

Mobile preview: Preview what the Node looks like in the player on small screen.


Tags

Tags are optional, but help keep things organized.

Pro tip: Use "%answer%" in the editor to pipe forward the last selected choice.


Choices

Choices are what link the nodes together. Each Scene node must have at least one choice.

Scenario Choice

Add or subtract points for selecting this choice

Scenario Settings

Boost engagement by showing not telling. Simulate the feeling of real-world pressure by limiting the time. Show impact with credits. Reach deeper thinking by shuffling choices. The feeling of stress can significantly change someone's decisions. Limiting the scenario time creates pressure on the user to make decisions faster to complete the learning scenario.
